Tony Salinas

Tony Salinas is a Deputy Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Phoenix’s Downtown Division. Tony brings 25 years of dedicated service, with extensive experience in planning, managing, and promoting a wide range of cultural, athletic, and educational programs and special events. He oversees 18 parks, two recreation centers, the Phoenix Afterschool Center program, the Encanto Sports Complex, numerous contracts and operating agreements with nonprofit and external partners, and a workforce of more than 300 employees.

Tony is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and a Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA), and he has presented multiple times at both the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association and the National Recreation and Park Association conferences.

A native of the Valley and an avid sports fan, Tony enjoys spending time with family and friends when he’s not at work.
