Position Title: Volunteer Newsletter & Communications Coordinator
Program/Team: Communications & Public Relations
Commitment: Approx. 1-2 hours per week
Location: Remote
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Chair


Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Newsletter & Communications Coordinator to support our internal and external communication efforts. This volunteer will play a key role in crafting engaging content for our quarterly newsletters, agency/member spotlights, and managing public-facing submissions to professional platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Newsletter & Internal Communications:

  • Plan, write, and format the quarterly newsletter using tools like Constant Contact.

  • Develop and manage internal articles, updates, and organizational announcements.

  • Coordinate agency and member spotlights that highlight achievements and newsworthy stories.

Email Marketing:

  • Design and schedule email campaigns in Constant Contact.

  • Ensure campaigns are audience-appropriate, visually appealing, and aligned with branding.

  • Track engagement metrics and suggest improvements.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong writing and editing skills; able to tailor content for various audiences.

  • Familiar with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc.).

  • Experience with digital newsletters and internal communications is a plus.

  • Basic layout/design knowledge (Canva, Adobe Express, or email design tools).

  • Organized, reliable, and collaborative.
